The Blue Heron story

The Blue Heron Trading Company doors opened May of 1985 in the newly renovated Dewitt-Seitz building. Canal Park was just beginning to change from an industrial neighborhood to the bustling spot it has become over the last 35 years.

Lake Superior and the lift bridge drew us in right from the start, like it does so many! The neighborhood is now home to many shops, restaurants and hotels.

Blue Heron is locally owned and operated by an amazing team, led by manager Sam Connolly and owner Jane Jenkins. We invite you to visit us, browse our ever-changing selection and enjoy our space!
